Women for Women (aka w4w) is a social group for lesbians and bisexual women which is based at MESMAC in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne. The group has 2 main goals. The first is to help women who are unsure of their sexuality or who have ‘just came out the closet’ to experience a friendly introduction to the gay scene by meeting a group of like minded women who may have experienced similar problems before. The second aim (and most important) is to organise events and activities that are fun and that people will enjoy doing. The group is for all age groups and are current members range from the ages of 18 to 60+. The group meets up on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month and we will e-mail you of any upcoming events. We also love to know what you want to see and/or do at the group and this is why we will have the ‘Think Tank’ page on the w4w website. The committee will regularly pick out the best ideas from the Think Tank page and try our best to organise them.
